Joseph discovered his love for hiking and the outdoors after university while living in Connecticut. He would go hiking at least once a week and rock climb most other days. During his time in the US military, he was taught to “always leave places cleaner than how you found them.” While hiking in America, Joseph often saw plastic bags full of garbage on trails and in common camping areas. Seeing this always upset him, and it was at this point he knew that something needed to be done. After meeting and eventually marrying Sonnie, she sparked a desire in him to help save the planet one piece of garbage at a time.
